Nshongi Camp is a budget safari lodge located within a few minute’s walk to the Ugandan Wildlife Authority (UWA) Service hut, the starting point of the gorilla tracking. The camp is located few meters from the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwest Uganda.

Nshongi Camp is 7.8km from the centre of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and 340.3km from Entebbe International Airport or Kampala the capital city.
This is the perfect location to start your gorilla tracking, in fact it’s the only place in Uganda and in the world where you can track five different Gorilla groups; Nshongi, Mishaya, Kahungye, Busingye, Bweza.
Nshongi Camp is just a few minute’s walk to the Ugandan Wildlife Service hut, the starting point of the Gorilla tracking. The camp is located few meters from the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwest Uganda.
The camp has four traditional bandas, and is the perfect place for connecting with nature.
These bandas have double beds and private bathrooms. Each bed has a mosquito net and views of the mountain.
Guests can dine under the stars and relax by the roaring campfire.
Three course meals are prepared and they can prepare lunch boxes for your tracking. Hot coffee, tea, and drinks are always available.
