Track the mountain gorillas twice on this amazing 4 Days (3 Nights) gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Come face to face with two different habituated gorilla families in the impenetrable forest of Uganda.
This trip can start from either Kampala or Kigali.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi
On this morning you will drive southwestern Uganda through Mbarara (283km from Kampala) You will make a stopover at Equator crossing for snacks and photography. Take a visit to Igongo Cultural village this is more rewarding and amazing as you visit the Ankole museum. A lunch break is made at Agip Motel Mbarara. After lunch, drive to Bwindi. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma community Bandas (Budget) / Buhoma Gorilla Haven (Midrange) / Buhoma Lodge or Mahogany Springs (Luxury).
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
Gorilla trekking begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with your rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, hiking boots because of the slippery hill slops. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort. Return to the lodge for Lunch. Travel to the Southern Part of Bwindi. Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Havens (Budget) / Rushaga Gorilla Camp (Midrange) / Chameleon Hill Lodge (Luxury)
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trek
After breakfast, travel to Rushaga or Nkuringo for a second gorilla trekking experience in the south of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is one of the exciting adventures you can enjoy in Uganda. This time you will track a different gorilla family. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch. Relax all Evening. Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Havens (Budget) / Rushaga Gorilla Camp (Midrange) / Chameleon Hill Lodge (Luxury)
Day 4: Bwindi to Kampala
This morning after your breakfast, drive back to Kampala with a stopover at Mbarara for lunch. Continue to Kampala/Entebbe to catch up on your evening flight back home.
