The Bwindi Mgahinga Conservation Area (BMCA) – Chief Warden Guma Nelson has commissioned a new accommodation block for staff based in Ruhija sector. The block has 6 kitchen units, 4 bathrooms and 04 water borne toilets.
At the unveiling of the new structure, Chief Warden Guma noted that much as the block is not adequate to house all staff, it demonstrates the intent of management to ensure all staff in the sector have comfortable facilities.
This structure is another milestone in the journey to provide decent accommodation and improve staff welfare with productivity at work.
The Director Institute of Tropical Forest Conservation (ITFC) Dr. Robert Bitariho thanked UWA management for improving the welfare of staff as well as giving Ruhija a face lift. He noted that such initiatives are crucial in making developmental progress in society.
